To maintain and improve the capacity of Forum HarimauKita in playing such a strategic role for conserving the Sumatran Tigers, we are opening the following position:
Position: Finance Coordinator (Full Time Employee)
Duties: Finance Coordinator will be responsible for a range of book-keeping responsibilities as well as providing support on finance and project budget management functions. Carrying out and recording relevant financial transactions as well as coordinating the financial coding of these transactions will all be part of your daily routine
Location: Duty office at Forum HarimauKita Office, Samiaji III No. 10, Bantarjati, Bogor, West Java
Period: 1 December 2017 – 30 November 2018 (12 months; with a possibility to be extended)
Working: Time 5 days/week (Sunday-Friday) from 9pm-5pm
The person will be responsible to the Executive Officer and the Chairman of Forum HarimauKita, working closely with other FHK staffs and members.

Finance Coordinator is primary responsible for supporting financial management and reporting. The responsibilities are:
- Strengthen a computer-based monitoring system for expenditures;
- Maintain FHK’s financial system and plans;
- Checks budget lines to ensure that all transactions are booked to the correct budget lines;
- Monitor and manage all expense and payments within the allotted budget;
- Prepare and submits timely and reliable FHK financial reports (monthly and annual financial report; including upon donor financial report) with Admin and Finance Office;
- Providing and interpreting financial information (e.g. program budgeting and forecast);
- Ensure bank transaction, petty cash book and voucher file for bank payment/receipt, journal and others; 8. Ensure and assisting the Admin and Finance Officer in executing financial activities (include the expenditure processes in accordance with policy and procedures, salary, money request, project financial, taxes etc);
- Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of bank records and as HarimauKita receives funding from a number of internationally based donors, it will be necessary to monitor foreign exchange rates and make relevant adjustments
- Assisting the staff members in improving the implementation of Standard Operational Procedur of FHK financial;
- Ensures the veracity and authenticity of Project’s financial transactions;
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality of all the financial transactions.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as finance/accounts assistant or similar, preferable with experience workin with NGO.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Good understanding and able to make organization cash flow and/or forecast
- Good understanding and able to make bank statement, bank book and bank reconciliation
- Good understanding of funding matrix
- Good understanding of budget reclassification
- Good understanding of tax calculations and tax payment (PPh 21, PPh 23)
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Good level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective oral and written English skills
Undergraduate degree in related subject
- Experience with donor reporting
- Project budget management experience
- Familiarity with virtual meeting tools (eg Skype, GoToMeeting, etc)
- Experience in working for an international organisation with staff members based in multiple locations
- Committed to contributing to positive social and environmental change
