Program Officer for Religious Freedom and Human Rights Program
The
Asia Foundation’s Indonesia office seeks qualified candidates for the position
of Program Officer for Religious Freedom
and Human Rights Program. The Program Officer will develop and manage program, provide technical
assistance to partners at the national and local level. S/he will also represent the Foundation in public forum and raise
the profile of the Foundation’s law programs.
The
Asia Foundation’s law reform programs are dynamic, innovative and based upon almost
six decades of programming throughout Asia. Our staff works closely with
institutions ranging from NGOs to government agencies.
Candidates should ideally
possess:
- Advanced degree in the social sciences (international relations, political science, education area studies, sociology) or law
- Familiarities or knowledge of Indonesian government agencies and NGOs working in the area of religious freedom, human and minority rights
- Solid understanding of human rights, protection of religious freedom, minority rights and law
- Excellent program management skills and experience
- Fluent written and spoken English and Indonesian
- Sound analytical, report writing and presentational skills
