Save the Children in Indonesia (SCI )
proposes to improve the well-being of children by integrating
School health Nutrition and Hygiene promotion facilities in 15 Primiary schools in
Aceh Tengah. In this program will support four main activities: 1) design and
hand washing infrastructure facilities with cost-efficient, low-technology facilities in
15 schools, 2) hygiene promotion in schools and communities, 3) creation of an enabling environment for UKS room in schools 5) provide school and hygiene materials for students estimated to 2,250 students
for improving sanitation, and 4) monitoring, evaluation, learning, and sharing of best practices. Save the Children will lead
and work with school committee and local stake hholder in planning, implementing, and monitoring
primary school-based activities, including
hygiene promotion in schools, training teachers and parents about good
hygiene behavior, expanding the Little Doctors (Doktor Kecil) peer education program, and improving school-based
management of hygiene activities.
In addition, with funding from
Hyundai and SC Korea, SCI will integrate
with School commitee empowerment,
training to be mater trainer in SHHN into school curriculum and
parenting meetings and behavour change in schools intervention.
Now we are looking for a position of :
SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER - ACEH PROGRAM, based in Aceh Tengah, 1 position

Report to : Deputy Program Manager
The Sr. Project Officer
will be responsible for overall management and implementation of all activities in target 15 schools in selected
in Aceh Tengah district. S/he will be responsible for the financial, programmatic implementation and monitoring
of all SHHN project funded by SC. Korea and Hyundai
project activities ensuring that all SC activities are synchronized with implementation plan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure SHHN district level activities are implemented according to implementation plan, and SC detailed implementation plan.
- Ensure to integrate into school based hygiene promotion in target district in line with Primary school curriculum
- Provide effective management and supervision of project officer and commob asst, admin asst, securities
- Ensure close collaboration with technical knowledge of Hygiene promotion factors, issue of building the hand washing facilities work with civil engineer program officer in budget calculation during project that will be implementeded and monitor the project activities.
- Ensure day to day management and reporting of financial resources in the district is in accordance with donor regulations and SCI policies and procedures.
- Establish and develop strong and effective relationships with key district government and non government stakeholders including, health and education authorities, district planning department, district staff, and local and international NGOs.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual activity, financial and monitoring reports according to Hyundai and SCKorea M and E framework, based on donor requirements and SCI.
- Ensure high quality technical implementation of all project interventions according to global best practices, and lessons learned from SC SHHN programming in Aceh and Global Indonesia.
- Support collection of baseline and endline data
- Participate in SCI country planning and reporting
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years work experience with non-government organizations in the areas of health, Primary education, and technique method of Infrastructure.
- At least 5 years experience in managing programs with international NGOs
- Knowledge and skills in methods to promote hygiene practices in 15 primary schools
- Knowledge and skills to promote child friendly active, joyful, and innovative learning.
- Proven skills to efficiently implement activities according to agreed upon work plan
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Bahasa and English
- Proven ability to manage financial resources according to donor and organization regulations and reporting requirements
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team
PROJECT OFFICER - ACEH PROGRAM, based in Aceh Tengah, 1 position
Code : PO-Aceh Tengah
Project Officer is responsible for ensuring smooth logistics, operations for the implementation of all project activities in
Aceh Tengah. The postholder is also responsible
for maintaining relationships with key school, community and government
stakeholders. In addition, the PO will ensure financial and
administrative reporting for all activities implemented
well on time to prepare drawing of water instruments and technical things to
Sr. Project Officer and donor requirements.
Reports to: Sr. Project Officer
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide logistic and administrative leadership in the organization of all school and community based training for hygiene promotion, low cost technology construction, Promotion, and dokter kecil.
- In cooperation with the District Coordinator ensure that activities are implemented according to agreed upon project documents work plan.
- Arrange logistics and administration as required for external visit work with admin team.
- In cooperation with Sr. Project officer and Deputy and program manager to maintain effective relationships with government and non-government stakeholders.
- Regularly collect monitoring data according project monitoring and evaluation plan
- Ensure compliance with all administrative financial and administrative procedures
- Conduct frequent monitoring visits to sites to collect monitoring data, provide on site coaching, identify areas for improvement and ensure overall implementation in good quality target achievement
- Support collection internal baseline and endline data, as well as all logistic arrangements for completion of surveys within target area
QUALIFICATION
- At least 3 years work experience with non-government organizations in the area of hygiene promotion or Primary school based activities with civil engineer titles will be more preferable.
- At least 2 years of experience providing Technical logistics in construction and comm mob facilitation and administrative support for project implementation
- Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Experience working with local government tool
- Experience working with Primary schools to improve quality of School Health Nutrition.
- Experience working in partnership with local NGOs and government partners, including implementation of capacity building programs.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Power Point and internet/email applications
- Excellent written and spoken in English/
- Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
