We
are currently recruiting a highly talented and motivated Research and
Business Development Officer to work with Kopernik’s Last Mile
Consulting team. Last Mile Consulting
provides professional advisory services to corporations, aid agencies
and foundations, specialising in the testing and distribution of
life-improving products. Our experienced team co-creates innovative,
socially responsible ways to reach base of the pyramid markets in the
last mile. The revenue earned from Last Mile Consulting funds Kopernik’s
work connecting simple technology with last mile communities to reduce
poverty.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Indonesian (knowledge of relevant local language a bonus).
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor degree (Masters degree preferred).
- Private sector experience preferred.
- Research experience.
- Positive attitude, hard working, reliable, motivated, and passionate about social impact.
- At least two years work experience.
- Prior experience working with rural communities preferred.
- Ability to perform to a high level under limited supervision.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Fully computer literate.
- Willingness to travel to and work in rural villages.
- Can ride a motorcycle in off-road conditions and possesses valid drivers licence (SIM C).
- Location: Ubud, Bali with regular travel to project locations.
Responsibilities :
Research
- Conduct research on socio-economic conditions of target communities.
- Conduct research on various technologies.
- Write up village and district profiles.
- Design and conduct surveys and analysis.
- Facilitate testing of new technologies and collection of feedback from users.
- Develop partnerships with local organisations and communities.
- Develop proposals for corporate partnerships.
- Support Indonesian and overseas projects to ensure timely implementation and reporting.
- Assist with the design of new projects and the implementation and monitoring of ongoing projects in Indonesia.
- Other duties as needed.
