I. Expected scope of work
The consultant will
responsible to develop IEC Material for Coastal DRR & CCR project. Types of IEC material that will be developed
is below:
- Coastal management (coastal resources conservation) : Flip Chart (estimated 10 pages) & Poster (A2)
- Mangrove rehabilitation guide : Booklet (A4)
- Green and Clean campaign Logo:
- Clean Beach (A4)
- Clear River (A4)
- Climate information & fishing safety : Poster (A2)
- Solid waste Management
- Composting: Poster (A2)
- Garbage Bank (Bank Sampah): Poster (A2)
- Biopori: Poster (A2)
A detail guide and substantial information related to the topics will be
provided by American Red Cross (ARC)
Jakarta Based is preferred. The consultant will be able to work remotely, after approval
of the work plan.
III. Coastal
DRR-CCR Project At Glance
Background and objectives of project
The coastal DRR-CCR project is aiming to reduce the number of deaths,
injuries and negative socio-economic impact caused by disasters and
environmental degradation in vulnerable Indonesian coastal communities through
1) increasing community members’ capacity,
knowledge and skills of to prepare for and to mitigate disaster risk; 2)
Strengthening PMI organizational and management capacity in coastal disaster
preparedness and response including strengthened partnership communications,
collaboration and coordination and 3) implementing community mitigation activities that improve environmental conditions,
safety and coastal land management.
Scope and reach of project
This project is implemented since
October 2012 until the end December 2014 in 14 coastal villages in four districts
which are Aceh Jaya (NAD), Cilacap (Central Java), Kota Mataram and Kabupaten
Lombok Barat (NTB) and will benefiting to 90,456 direct beneficiaries consist
of community members, PMI personnel and stakeholders. The project also aim to benefiting indirectly
1,839,191 people from improved stakeholder coordination, policies, and
preparedness and response capacity in place at institutional level.
Project stakeholders
The Coastal DRR project is implemented
by PMI at National, province and chapter level at the respective target areas
in close coordination with the Disaster Management Body, local government and
other DRR and coastal stakeholders. PMI
establishing collaboration with the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (Institut
Pertanian Bogor – IPB) to improved PMI ICBRR model in coastal areas trough gaining
technical support on coastal vegetation plantation and development of
Integrated Coastal Management Plan that will support as a project advocacy
tools.
Administrative and
logistic support
The consultant is expected to use her/his own computer,
equipment and software. Approved
administrative and logistical costs will be reimbursed by the Red Cross Team.
Reporting relationship
The consultant will
report to Red Cross Team (PMI/ARC) in attention to Disaster Management Program
Manager
IV. Deliverable & Qualification
The consultants should provide separate application to
ARC. Details for required deliverable,
service duration and qualification are below:
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree from relevant design institute or other related field
- Proven portfolios of design
- Advance skill of computer design software (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw
- At least 3 years experiences in designing information, education and communication materials

Copyright:
1. Copyright for all deliverable will be transferred from
designer to ARC.
Payment
- First Installment will be given 25% (twenty five percent) from total contract and will be paid after mood board and design concept submitted and approved by American Red Cross.
- Second installment is 75% (seventy five percent) from total contract and will be paid after all expected deliverable are completed
