ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A candidate with a bachelor’s (S1) degree, preferably master’s degree in natural sciences, social sciences, or related studies:
- Well knowledge and skills in monitoring and evaluation theory, methods, and approaches;
- Sufficient knowledge on social, political, economic, and environmental issues with some knowledge on the prevention of forest fire, law enforcement, restoration and conservation, and social forestry;
- Excellent technical writing skill;
- Good interpersonal skill and good team player;
- Good Information Communication Technology (ICT) skill;
- Ability to work with multistakeholders of different levels and village communities.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning of environmental or social sector programs;
- Experience of working with MIS system and using statistical packages such as SPSS is a plus;
- Experience and high degree of competency in using Windows-based computer programs;
- Thorough knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning, data dissemination techniques, generation of reports, and documentation;
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation indicators used in environmental sectors;
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop indicators/templates for report/dash boards/score cards;
- To establish key baselines for the initial program;
- To examine data for inconsistencies and follow-up with the states for rectifying the errors;
- To prepare MEL methodology for effective utilization of data;
- To ensure program reporting is managed properly and provide relevant information/data during the report development process;
- To compile reports based on data analysis using statistical tools for providing to different stakeholders;
- To identify gaps and suggest ideas or solutions for improving existing MEL system;
- To involve in the unit’s programs as providing a training to the organization and partners;
- To develop indicators, related targets, sampling procedures for supplementing MEL process of the local partners;
- To liaison with third parties and stakeholders;
- To travel to the program sites as required by the unit and organization;
- Any other relevant work assigned by the supervisor.
