Program Overview: Yayasan Project HOPE has been engaged by BD Global Health to support the USAID-BD partnership to Strengthen TB Resistance Testing & Diagnostic Systems (STRIDES) which aims to improve access to and capacity for TB and drug-resistant (DR) TB diagnosis under the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP), Government of Indonesia. The specific objectives of the program include:
- Strengthen TB diagnostic network components to increase and optimize access to diagnostic technologies for complete drug resistance testing
- Create and launch an awareness campaign to promote access to high-quality testing, based on global recommendations and national algorithms for early accurate diagnosis of TB, universal DST for all suspects and comprehensive DST for MDR/XDR-TB populations (SL-DST)
The Project Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of project interventions. The role also requires the ability to multi-task, high-level coordination with national and provincial stakeholders, and to handle complex and competing priorities. The position will report directly to the Country Representative and will have a dotted-line report to representatives from USAID Indonesia and BD.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support planning and implementation of the partnership in close coordination with the leads from USAID Indonesia and BD Global Health
- Lead the in-country coordination and advocacy on project implementation with NTP, USAID & its partners and the BD team.
- Identifying and managing risk associated with timely implementation of project interventions in coordination with all supervisors.
- Coordinates, supervises and documents the implementation of the capacity building and trainings
- Collects data and information from the stakeholders, government and partners for preparing reports.
- Analyzes and identifies the challenges of the project to keep the interventions on schedule.
- Consolidates the work plan and budget plan for the program development.
- Monitors program budgets jointly with the Finance Manager.
- Ensures timely and quality reporting on the program to USAID Indonesia and Donor.
- Implements any other duties as assigned by the supervisor in support of the implementation of the STRIDES project in Indonesia.
- First degree in health science; Medicines, Pharmacy, or Public Health (master degree would be preferred).
- Minimum 8 (eight) years of similar experience in the field of Health Science with government, private sector, and/or NGOs or minimum 4 (four) year experience for master degree in similar above field of education.
- Technical knowledge, programmatic on TB programs, and or diagnostic labs working experiences will be preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrative ability to multitask.
- Strong office program computer skills, literacy in statistical software is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and excellent writing skills.
