This post will be based in Jakarta for fixed term contract 12 months with possible extension.
Business Development Specialist (code: BD Specialist)
JOB PURPOSE:
Business Development Specialist will be responsible for the development of program related fundraising management process in order to strengthen team in country funding pipeline to meet the fundraising target. She/he will have close coordination with programme projects and finance team to see and to review more funding opportunities align with Oxfam in Indonesia vision in 2020. S/he will also be responsible to ensure the cross-thematic project on the Sustainable Development Goals will comprehensively being addressed into funding proposals and reports. This position will have a direct report to Business Development Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing, Managing and preparing business development plan and fundraising management process for Oxfam one program approach
- Sharing information about institutional funding opportunities to program team, assisting and giving proper guidelines related to further plan and process
- Planning, organizing and managing country response to funding opportunities
- Giving inputs related to comprehensive proposal, back forward professional suggestions on concept note, research to meet Oxfam standard
- Preparing Expression of Interest in collaboration with program team and ensure the gender inequality and social development issues addressed into influencing impact
- Preparing documentation and presentations to donors
- with mentoring and technical advice to improve
- Preparing timeline for proposal development and appoint the call lead for each opportunity
- Identifying support needed to develop concept note and proposal and communicate the need to Business Development Director.
- Supporting Business Development Director to mobilize consultant and external staff related to concept note, research, and proposal development.
- Supporting and providing input for Business Development Director in Bid No-Bid development
- Updating Contract and System Officer with the latest information to update country pipeline in the system
- Managing communication with relevant affiliates regarding to the call.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on program designing and proposal development
- Having strong technical knowledge and expertise in economic development, sustainable livelihoods, food security, gender inequality and governance.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in proposal writing for any institutional donors
- Having comprehensive knowledge about theory of change, logical framework, and or logic model
- Having good competencies in both quantitative and qualitative analysis for development issues
- Having good skills in data analysis both quantitative and qualitative.
- Familiarity to gender analysis and women rights will be an advantage
- Research skills required in gathering information and learning through a variety of channels for specific topics
- Proven experience in mentoring and technical advice related to future program development to improve the quality of project proposal and/or concept note
- Excellent and comprehensive writing skills in English narrative proposals and report
- Fluency in both written and spoken Indonesia and English with communication skills with proven experience in diversity culture
- Computer literacy particularly MS Office and e-mail usage
- Excellent in IT skills, proven capacity on specific contract management system will be an advantage
- Commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims including women’s rights and gender equality
