Save the Children Job Vacancy: Eastern Area Finance Coordinator - Kupang

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.

We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

EASTERN AREA FINANCE COORDINATOR
1 position, based in Kupang

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Financial Coordinator will work closely with Area manager and Field and Program Managers in his/her area to provide overall leadership, vision, strategic direction and management of Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik’s financial planning across the area and ensure the sustainability and viability of the organisation. Specifically, he/she is responsible for financial accounting and management reporting. The scope of responsibilities includes financial accounting of our programs and operations.

Ensuring financial efficiency, sustainability and viability and establishing a strong financial governance framework that takes into consideration risks to the organisation and is in compliance with SCI policy, national foundation and regulatory laws is central to the achievement of membership status and the establishment of a national foundation that will safeguard and grow our income and portfolio, expand our geographic presence and deliver more programs for children.

Working with the Finance Director, Finance Manager and Accountant in national office, the post holder shares accountability for overall financial management in the area in accordance with the Yayasan Finance Manual and donor requirements. They will also share accountability to build the most positive and affirming work environment possible and ensure that the management, staffing and culture of the organisation are suitably aligned with the mission, evolving goals and strategic ambitions aligned with the Member Accountability Framework. 

The post holder will contribute to global KPI as follows:
  • Co-lead with Finance Manager on achievement of Operations delivery indicators, particularly on monthly spending target relating to the Area
