Chief of Party - BERSAMA project
Position Location: Indonesia

Summary of Position
Chief of Party:
  • Overall project management, quality and timeliness of deliverables, program impacts, external representation, and coordination with USAID AOR; 
  • Establishing an office in Jayapura, recruiting Management Staff, and establishing a network of qualified professionals; 
  • Overseeing program development and logistics for all components of the program. 
  • The COP provides strategic vision to reach the program’s objectives and will oversee project activities to ensure quality of work and compliance with award obligations and results.
  • The COP is responsible for the quality and performance of work that is sub-granted to other partners including the capacity building of their subs to be able to deliver better deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Gender/GBV studies, or other related social science and development studies. A master degree holder is preferable;
  • Minimum 10 years of international development experience, including working with USAID-funded project, significant management experience in a developing country context, implementing complex donor-funded projects with multiple activities, and direct knowledge of logistics, procurement procedures including hiring, supervising, systems and office set-up, and understand host country environment. Experience in Papua and/or West Papua strongly desired; 
  • Strong gender and GBV expertise, along with a commitment to community-based approaches and working with CBOs and CSOs; Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the project’s three main objective areas. 
  • Demonstrated skills in written and spoken English. The ideal candidate would be fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia.
Salary: Commensurate with previous experience
