Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty. Wahana Visi Indonesia has been working for more than 15 years, employing more than 800 staff in the programs and serving 1,400 of the poorest villages. Our focus is on programming effort on health, education and economic development across transformational development, humanitarian emergency affairs and advocacy ministries.
Wahana Visi Indonesia is currently seeking the several positions for Indonesia Regional Economic Development (IRED) program. IRED which supported by the Australian Government, DFAT, aims to expand the successfully trialled Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) system to help farmers regenerate degraded farmlands and forests, increase yields, improve quality, enhance market access and boost income by 2016. As land is regenerated, the project will increase agricultural income generation through market facilitation of livestock, short-term annual crops, medium-term perennial crops and long-term timber products.
The positions open for this program are:
1. Forestry Project Coordinator of IRED (Code: FPC - IRED)
Location : NTT, Waingapu
Major Roles:
This position has responsibility to directly works with farmers to support them to make better decisions to increase forestry production. The role will bring the latest techniques and information related to forestry and actively relay this information to farmers and local forestry products businesses.
Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree preferably in Forestry.
Min. 2-3 years development sector experience with international donor funded programs; experience in forestry program will be an advantage.
In-depth understanding of a wide range of forestry methodologies and approaches, and the relative benefits or drawbacks of associated with each.
Excellent analytical and reporting writing skills
Good communication skills
2. Agriculture Project Coordinator of IRED (Code: APC - IRED)
Location : NTT, Waingapu
Major Roles :
This position has responsibility to directly works with farmers to support them to make better decisions to increase agricultural production. The role will bring the latest techniques and information related to agriculture and actively relay this information to farmers and local agricultural businesses.
Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree Preferably in Agriculture.
Min. 2-3 years development sector experience with international donor funded programs; experience in agriculture program will be an advantage.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator of IRED (Code: M&E - IRED)
Location : NTT, Waingapu
Major Roles :
M&E Coordinator will ensure that the program M&E framework includes its learning plan is developed and implemented in alignment with relevant strategies, policies and programming standard. This role will be Geographical Information Systems (GIS) based and responsible for integrating mapping outputs from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, state land titles and cultural mapping exercises.
Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree Preferably in Statistic
Min. 2-3 years experience in development sector M & E with international donor funded programs.
In-depth understanding of a wide range of M&E methodologies and approaches.
Demonstrated ability to utilize geographical information systems as the basis for program M&E activities.
Excellent analytical and reporting writing skills
4. Market Development Coordinator of IRED (Code: MDC - IRED)
Location : NTT, Waingapu
Major Roles :
This position is responsible to assist the Indonesia Rural Economic Development Team to understand the preparation and market facilitation process within the program, includes understanding the opportunities for local production, conducting value chain and sub-sector analysis, identifying key market players, opportunities and constraints, formulating innovative market hypothetical’s and generating real market driven opportunities and orders
Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree in Business, Economic, Commerce or related field
Min. 2-3 years experience in market development program
In-depth understanding of commercial market operations and systems
Excellent analytical and communications skills
