Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – SUD II

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the M&E activities of the SUD program. S/he will be working closely with the SUD Program Manager to monitor progress against program outputs and evaluate achievement of objectives on the basis of the M&E plan. With support from the M&E Specialist (based in Jakarta), s/he will develop tools for measurement, organize measurement activities (surveys, focus group discussions, pre- and post-tests at trainings, key informant interview, observation, etc), assist with the analysis of data and reporting on findings. The M&E Officer will also be involved in regular discussions with the program team on M&E findings in order to ensure these are used to continuously learn lessons on what works and what does not, and improve program implementation methods where necessary.

The M&E Officer will also assist with the writing of narrative progress reports for internal use and for submission to the donor. Lastly, s/he will support the team with the implementation of program activities in the field.

Qualifications:
  • Possess a relevant university degree and relevant 2-3 years work experience;  
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in monitoring and evaluation, ideally in an NGO context; 
  • Expertise and skills in development and implementation of M&E plans, baseline and endline surveys, evaluations, using quantitative and qualitative methods; 
  • Expertise and skills in analysis of collected data and compiling findings in clear and structured reports; 
  • Ability to work with computer programs typically used for data management, analysis and reporting; 
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, highly desired.
This position will be as temporary staff for 10 months.
