CORPORATE FUNDRAISING MANAGER
Fundraising & Marketing Department
1 position, based in Jakarta
Role Purpose:
- Responsible for raising resources from corporations or foundations, for Save the Children as per the agreed targets.
- Lead the development of Save the Children in Indonesia corporate fundraising strategy.
- Responsible for end to end servicing of the local corporate donors.
Reports to: Senior Manager Fundraising and Marketing
Dimensions: Works directly with the Fundraising Team, Program Unit, PDQ, Advocacy, Communications and the Country Director.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Lead the development of a national strategy to fundraise from corporations and foundations in Indonesia
- Provide the vision and leadership required to lead others to maximize the potential of local fundraising in Indonesia
- Build strong relationships with local corporate donors and local foundations (acquiring both new donors and retaining existing ones)
- Work with the Program Development and Quality team to prepare quality funding proposals
- Work with programs and communications to develop publications, case studies and other program related materials needed to secure donations from local corporate and local foundations.
- Ensure proper reporting to donors on all agreed projects.
- Provide clear information to the Program Implementation, Awards and Finance on corporate and foundation donor compliance requirements
- Actively manage and nurture relationship with the corporate and foundation donors through ensuring smooth communication and regular updates
- Coordinate corporate donor visits, organise events to build stronger relationships with corporate donors
- Contribute to the development of donor communication material for corporations or foundations in close collaboration with Advocacy team
- Remain up to date on the corporate fundraising strategies worldwide, including strategies used by Save the Children members, and translate into new initiatives in Indonesia
- Establish strong working relationships with key internal partners (e.g. Programs, Advocacy, Communications, Finance teams etc.)
- Develop key external relationships to build understanding of donor and industry trends
- Any other assignment as assigned
As a member of the Extended Senior Management Team (ESMT), contribute to:
- The development of an organizational culture that reflects our humanitarian and development values; promotes accountability and high performance; encourages a team culture of learning, creativity and innovation; and enables our staff to deliver outstanding results for children.
- Provide feedback on issues of cross-cutting importance to Save the Children in Indonesia including policies affecting program implementation and the overall CO strategy.
- Help establish, maintain, and improve active and regular working relationships with Save the Children members, and local and international NGOs.
- Work closely with Save the Children members to ensure that required support is provided promptly, at scale, at high-quality, and in line with rules and principles.
Strategic Planning, Development & Support
- Develop and implement the corporate fundraising strategy
- Leverage supporters and market insights to enhance propositions and decision making
- Take an active role in the wider fundraising strategy, planning and implementation
- Establishing and build strong working relationships with key internal partners
- Develop key external relationships to build understanding of donor and industry trends
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and agencies as necessary
Staff Management,

- Ensure that all staff understand and are able to perform their role in an emergency
- Manage face to face program; define expectations, provide leadership and technical support as needed, and evaluate direct reports regularly
- Ensure the recruitment, training, and promotion of staff as appropriate and ensure availability of appropriate professional development opportunities for staff
- Manage the performance of all staff - through:
- Effective use of the Performance Management System including the establishment of clear, measureable objectives, ongoing feedback, periodic reviews and fair and unbiased evaluations;
- Coaching, mentoring and other developmental opportunities;
- Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance;
- Documentation of performance that is less than satisfactory, with appropriate
- Performance improvements/ work plans.
QUALIFICATION
- A minimum experience of 4 years in corporate fundraising with non-profit organizations or business development experience in the corporate sector.
- A flair for writing engaging donor communication materials and funding proposals.
- Have proven track record of asking and raising funds.
- Experience of computerized accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines
- Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
- A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment
- Understanding of Save the Children vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives, values and essential standards
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Indonesian
