For our Sustainable Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) in Indonesia, we are looking for a

ICT Assistant – 3 months contract with the possibility of extension.  

The SCPP is a large Public Private Partnership (“PPP”) in Indonesia which has started in January 2012. The Program is financed by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, The Sustainable Trade Initiative IDH, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and five Private Sector Companies from the cocoa sector for the duration from 2012 – 2015. The Program works directly with 60,000 cocoa farming households in six Indonesian Provinces to improve farm productivity and livelihood conditions.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
  • Assist Sr. IT Officer as needed in providing service to employees and systems management.
Task, Authority, and Responsibility
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Assist with network and security management.
  • Assist with data storage architecture.
  • Assist with procurement and implementation of computers, network devices, technology, etc. 
  • Assist with systems development of Management Information System (MIS). 
  • Provide user level technical support / trouble shooter for end users, computers, printers, etc. 
  • Provide user level training on daily applications used, including, but not limited to:  
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and other basic computer related skills. 
  • Assist with end user system updates and monitoring. Including: 
  • User folder and storage management, spyware removal and testing, virus checking, ensuring backup of data files, etc.
  • Monitor printers, copiers, and fax machines to make sure they are working properly and getting regular maintenance. 
  • Provide High degree of professionalism and end user satisfaction and work well with others.
 OTHER RELATED DUTIES:
  • Assist in research of new technologies and software that might be beneficial.
  • Assist with technical documentation of systems and processes 
  • Assist with creation and documentation of IT systems and networks. 
  • Assist with the creation and documentation of technical knowledge base for common issues experienced by end users. 
  • Perform other duties as needed Unit & Finance Unit;
  • Supervise the payment of utility bills for office;
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Experience with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Familiar Android apps and Device.
  • Familiar with adobe products (acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
  • Familiar with CorelDraw software.
  • Must have basic knowledge of current technologies available in the IT world.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of various networking systems concepts including email, firewall, client-servers, network security, network protocols, etc.
  • Previous experience with computer and printer maintenance and repair. 
  • Work independently and assist with multiple projects, priorities, and locations. 
  • Work under pressure with interruptions and challenging deadlines. 
  • Willingness to work with many different people.   
  • Ability to be courteous and helpful.   
  • Must show aptitude and desire to learn new skills on the job.   
  • Must demonstrate creativity and good design skills for different publications.   
  • Be able to communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing.  
  • Work as a team member and to promote a positive work environment. 
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions. 
  • Able to adapt to change and meet deadlines. 
  • Three years’ experience.
Workplace
 
The main workplace is located in the project main office in Jakarta but flexibility is expected from the employee for tasks to be conducted outside the project office.
 
Special Arrangement
This job description can be adjusted according to the development and new requirements of the project upon agreement of both parties.
 
Manner and working attitude
  • Deal effectively and tactfully with upset end users. 
  • Apple product knowledge (Mac OSX, iPad, iPhone) 
  • Good troubleshooting skills using logic and common sense.

IT Helpdesk / Technical Support Assistant
 
This position is to assist Sr. IT Officer as needed in providing service to employees and systems management.  Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure at a lower level of IT services.
 
Essential Criteria:
Education and technical skills: Technical degree or diploma and/or equivalent business experience.
 
Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience years’ work experience in a helpdesk or IT support role. Relevant professional certificate such as MCP or MCSE is an advantage. Strong communication and phone skills; excellent customer service, analytical and problem solving skills a must, Strong support knowledge of PC hardware, Microsoft operating systems, MS Office Suite and Office 365 suite, SharePoint Intranet.
 
Good in English and Bahasa
