CARE International Indonesia Vacancy: Capacity Building Officer, Karawang - West Java

CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit.

CARE International Indonesia  in Head of Quarter-Jakarta  is currently recruiting the following position for its project:

Job Title: CAPACITY BUILDING OFFICER
Base: KARAWANG (WEST JAVA)

JOB SUMMARY
The Capacity Building Officer is responsible to ensure transfer of knowledge on WASH and will lead the implementation of coordinated capacity building strategy. S/he identifies knowledge gap, develops capacity building strategy and supervises implementation of trainings for local government and trainings in communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Lead the process for identifying training and other capacity building service providers for community.
  • Develop training module, organize and facilitate the training of WASH and gender to community member.
  • Ensure that the project is gender and cultural sensitive.
  • Report on progress made in capacity building efforts to project managers, and manage reporting requirements for partners.
  • Lead monitoring and evaluation activities related to the capacity building plan.
  • Building good relationship with local authorities, health staff and partners for better intervention.
QUALIFICATIONS
1.       Education,
At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a social sciences discipline, communication, or similar /related field.

2.      Experience
Required:
  • 3 years successful record in WASH project.
  • 2-3 years of specialized experience working with civil society organizations and/or advocacy efforts.
  • Experience of working on issues related to WASH in community level.
  • Experience in conduct the KAP survey and analysis.
  • Familiarity with a diverse number of cross-cutting themes such as rights based programming, networking, gender integration and policy advocacy.
 3.      Specific technical skills

  • Strong personal management and communication skills necessary to work with local authorities.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, reliability, organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to some periods of high pressure is required.
  • Must be a self starter who takes initiative and is able to work with minimal supervision.
