Company background
Kopernik is now looking for a finance officer for our office for the “Low Emission Enterprises” project in Padang Sidempuan, Indonesia. The overall objectives of the position are i) to ensure timely and correct delivery of financial reports to project management, ii) cash handling and reporting, iii) data entering  and creation of customer databases. The finance officer will report to the Head of Operations in Padang Sidempuan.
 
Job description
The position will be of a dynamic character and require flexibility and determination from the successful candidate. As the operations in Padang Sidempuan are currently being established, the finance officer will have the opportunity to have significant influence on the business model and processes.
 
Tasks include
·         Administration of the financial system of the project
·         Submission of expense request forms for coming period
·         Providing physical receipts on incurredexpenses 
·         Providing full accounts of cash fund (cash book, monthly reconciliations)
·         Providing full accounts of joint bank account  (bank book, monthlyreconciliations)
·         Preparation of monthly expense summary based on the project's costcategories
·         Recording and maintaining sales records
·         General cash handling
·         Preparing and submitting required tax and financial reports to Indonesian government
·         Providing input in budgeting process
·         Assisting Differ and Kopernikfor annual financial audit of TapanuliSelatan/Mandailing Natal/ Padang Sidempuan operations
·         Creating and maintaining customer, employee and agent databases
·         HR tasks
·         Assisting in final project audit processes
 
Qualifications
·       Relevant university degree (Business, accounting, finance, admin)
·       Work experience from accounting and/or finance in Indonesia
·       Knowledge of Indonesian taxation laws and procedures
·       Knowledge of Indonesian labour regulations and HR
·       Determination and entrepreneurship
·       Self-motivated and goal-oriented
·       Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment
-          Excellent writing and communication skills
-          Fluency in Bahasa and English
