estates of  PT Surya Sawit Sejati (United Plantations Bhd) is looking for qualified candidates to fill out the following position :

 

Limnology Officer

 

Key Responsibilities :

 

This  is  a  full  time  position  responsible  assisting  the  environmental  manager  in  collecting  data  and  other  field  work  necessary  for monitoring , rehabilitation and applied research programmes as well as participating in surveys The  biodiversity  staff  will  be  partly  responsible  for  communicating  PT SSS policies  and  regulations and promoting the implementation of these with local communities.  The position is largely field based and requires night patrolling/surveying as well. This staff position report to PT SSS Biodiversity Division Manager

 

Qualifications :

The desired qualifications for this position are: 

• Diploma or Degree of Biology, Environmental Engineering (Limnology)
• 2 – years experience (Fresh Graduate welcome to apply). 
• Personal integrity and willingness to comply with national laws and company regulations 
• Willing to learn to use new instruments such as GPS, water quality tester for (biological , chemical, Physical) 
• Willing to spend a majority of the working time in the field, including occasional night patrols. 
• Willing  to assist  in  all  the  practical  surveys,  monitoring  and  rehabilitation  programmes designed  by the environmental team.
• Willing to approach illegal intruders in an appropriate manner.  Experience  in  conflict/manag-ement is an advantage.
• Experience in jungle survivall is advantage.
• Passion for working in a team of multi-cultural and cross-sectoral environment 
• Fluency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia. Basic understanding of English is an advantage. 
• In possession of a motorbike and car driving licence A. 
• Willing to work at flexible hours.
