Yayasan Nurani Luhur Masyarakat (YNLM) was established in 2012, and partners with communities, as well as civil society
organizations in Indonesia and abroad. The organization’s administrative office
is located in Medan, North Sumatra. Current programs are among others related
to children’s welfare, public health and livelihoods/household economy. YNLM
wishes to contribute to positive, long term and sustainable development for
children, families and communities in Indonesia.

Public Health Officer
Immediate working location are within the
province of North Sumatra. In the long
term, other working locations in Indonesia are possible.
Key roles and
responsibilities applicant will be involved in
- Designing, implementing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative community assessments.
- Program planning and implementation
- Monitoring and evaluation of program
- Creating/contextualizing health material
- Training/educating field workers and community members in health related topics.
Desired educational background
- Public/Community Health
- Educational background from nursing, midwife or other health professions, but has in addition relevant experience from community development work.
Other
desired qualifications:
- Previous experience from community based development programs would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge about program planning and proposal writing
- Good computer skills.
- Oral and written English communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills, flexible and cooperative with the ability to work efficiently individually as well as in a team with other people.
- Sensitivity to the needs of others with positive and realistic commitment to serving in vulnerable communities
