Clinical Legal Education and Justice Sector

The Asia
Foundation seeks applicants for
two full-time Program Officer positions in the areas of clinical legal
education, and civil society organization advocacy for justice sector
reform. We also seek one part-time consultant
for communications and engaging law school and civil society organizations (CSO)
partners through Hukumonline. Personnel
will primarily work on the Educating
and Equipping Tomorrow’s Justice Reformers (E2J) program, funded by USAID. E2J works with 8 universities and
numerous CSOs to strengthen the capacity of law schools to offer clinical legal
education that contributes to justice sector reform efforts.
Candidates will work with as a team with current project staff. A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in an international
development program is required for all positions. A strong background in legal education
and justice sector reform is preferable, as is an advanced
degree in law or a related field. For
the communications position, experience with public relations, blogs, and social
media is needed. Strong written and verbal communications skills, the ability
to manage multiple work assignments; as well strong computer skills, teamwork
and networking skills are also required.
Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English are required.
