Background
The Habibie Center is expanding and developing its programs and research through launching a new program of stunting study, as part of the drive to increase the visibility of the Center. We are looking for a researcher on stunting as part of the team, to primarily provide both substantial and administrative support to the team.

Duration: 12 months, initial one-year hire period with potential extension based on performance

Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Directors of The Habibie Center and management of the Head of Politics and Government Department, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out tasks related to organizing regular public discussions, roundtable discussions, and a national seminar, as well as producing policy briefs, activity reports, and research materials;
  • Working on all administrative matters for the program, including but not limited to producing work plans and financial documents, identifying and determining themes and activities, agendas, priority issues and topics, as well as liaising with resource persons for public and roundtable discussions and a national seminar;
  • Identifying and liaising with different stakeholders related to stunting and its policy advocacy, including government, universities, think tanks, mass media, and NGOs;
  • Assisting The Habibie Center with other activities/events when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in public health or other Master’s degrees related to the broader issue of stunting and its related policy in Indonesia;
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge on stunting and its related policy;
  • Previous responsible working experience in reducing/preventing stunting or related policy-making, and specifically experienced in organizing public discussions and roundtable discussions;
  • Strong capacity or skills in writing academic paper or policy brief;
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including local research organizations, governments, and NGOs;
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken;
  • Integrity, professional discretion, and ability to interact effectively with diverse partners.
