THRIVE Open SRP Project
THRIVE Project is a local adaptation and pilot of the Open Smart Register Platform, an integrated electronic health information system to enhance maternal and neonatal health outcomes. A multi-site research trial conducted in Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Open Smart Register Platform (OpenSRP) is an adaptable open source mobile health platform that allows frontline health workers to electronically register and track the health of their entire client population.

STUDY/PROJECT COORDINATOR

You will assist the primary investigators and to coordinate the project implementation and management, including day-to-day management of staff, execution of all phases, reporting and problem solving for the full length of the project.


Qualification:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in public health or related discipline (pref. Masters Degree)Experience working in epidemiology research is desirable
  • Strong managerial experience, including demonstrated analytical, critical appraisal, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Indonesia
SCIENCE COORDINATOR

You will be responsible to Develop weekly schedules within the team scheduling based on direction and work received by the Principal Investigator, Project Coordinator, Vice Coordinator, Field & Science Coordinator. Determine the weekly coaching agenda given to health workers using tablets with OpenSRP applications or other innovation technologies based on input from the field and Data Team, Create weekly coaching materials to health workers using tablets with OpenSRP applications or other innovation technologies.

Qualification:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in public health or related discipline (pref. Masters Degree).
  • Experience working in epidemiology research is desirable and demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis, including the use of statistical packages (e.g. Stata, SAS).
  • Strong managerial skill including administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong computer and database skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Reporting skills – fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
DATA ANALYST

You will conduct full life cycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements on project implementations.

Qualification:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in statistic, mathematic or relevant field
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is a prerequisite.
FIELD COORDINATOR

Planning, executing and overseeing the field implementation of the study, data collection process, tracking the project progress periodically and report it to the management and identify areas of improvement and develop new methodologies to meet milestones.


Qualification:
  • At least a bachelor degree in public health or a relevant field.
  • Preferable experience working in NGO.
  • Having strong organization and managerial skill.
  • Fluently both English and Indonesia.
FIELD STAFF

Responsible for collecting data at the project site and maintaining good relations with research partners. Prepare reports and ensure that all field problems are reported to the field coordinator.

Qualification:
  • S1 / D3 all majors.
  • Experience as an enumerator.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Driver license (SIM C).
  • Have a motorcycle.
  • Understand and familiar with all survey licensing requirements, field protocols to ensure data quality.
  • Capability to learn and work hard.
  • Responsible for collecting data at the project site and maintaining good relations with research partners.
  • Prepare reports and ensure that all field problems are reported to the field coordinator.
LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER / IT Manager

You will lead a local team of software developers and implementers to create innovative technology-based solutions for public health research and service delivery. You will be responsible for multiple informatics projects involving software development and implementation at SID. Successful Informatics Managers at SID find their work acknowledged internationally and represent SID at global conferences and meetings on health informatics. Qualification:
  • At least 3 years of IT team management experience.
  • Prior experience with health informatics, open-source software and community-based development is a plus.
  • Holding a Master’s degree from a world-class university in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s degree with directly relevant experience in a region of interest to SID.
  • Demonstrating a strong ability in assessing project requirements, creating work-plans, and developing budgets.
  • Showing a proven ability in designing and monitoring software development, implementation and project expenses.
  • Having a strong communication skills, ability to engage with non-technical personnel.

ANDROID DEVELOPER

We’re looking for a smart and energetic Android developer who is passionate about writing readable, well-tested code that can scale, and constantly learning more. Our Android developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of Open SRP applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Open SRP applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential. Software development work on the THRIVE OpenSRP will bring you into contact with diverse open source communities and you will gain exposure to the way eHealth and mHealth solutions are developed from multiple international perspectives. Qualification:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering or relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and familiarity with continuous integration.

You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and reusable code that can be released as open-source software. The code you write will be deployed in multiple countries and used for public health research and service delivery. You will typically be creating Java web applications and software for the Android mobile platform. Software development work on the THRIVE OpenSRP will bring you into contact with diverse open source communities and you will gain exposure to the way eHealth and mHealth solutions are developed from multiple international perspectives. Qualification:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering or relevant field
  • 1+ years of Java backend and web development experience in a professional setting.
  • Preferable experience with Apache Maven, Postgresql, CouchDB, and Spring Framework.
  • Knowledgeable in creating documentation and UML diagrams.
  • Showing interpersonal skills to interact with team members.

IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Install and configure software and hardware

Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mind is essential, along with a strong technical background, and being very proactive.

Qualification:
  • D3 or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Informatics Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience as a Webmaster and Designer

SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITE CONTENT ADMIN (Part-time/ Remotely)

You will write and curate content designed to engage followers and promote the brand in a positive manner. A combination of marketing skills and social media expertise is required to do the job well. A social media manager might create and maintain new marketing campaigns, brand promotions or product lines for SID on different sites, monitor progress using web analytic tools, continuously monitors site analytics to see what types of content followers respond to the most and adjusts the strategy accordingly, and answer directly to social media inquiries, all while using the company’s voice and guidelines. A social media manager is continuously generating content for SID, creating new ideas and campaigns, and measuring how effective those ideas are. You’ll work with other creatives in the organization such as science, data, field, IT, and management team. You need to always look for the latest trends online, making sure that SID is keeping up with public shifts in media attention. To ensure customer satisfaction, you must respond to complaints, questions and comments left on the organization’s social media pages in a timely and appropriate manner.

Qualification:
  • D3 or Bachelor’s degree in all major preferable in marketing, PR, communications.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for social media.
  • Excellent in Microsoft office and business intelligent
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to connect with key influencers is an important aspect of the job, to create engaging content and properly promote it
  • Able to demonstrate experience in social and digital media, which includes being able to measure social media presence.
  • Extensive experience using popular platforms is a must, combined with a desire to keep up with current social media trends
