Position Overview
The Consultant, Legal, Administration & Partnerships will assist the work of Manager, Operations & Finance in ensuring that Rare Indonesia:
- Complies with any legal requirements to implement the program and to bring in necessary resources.
- Solidifies partnership with institutions at sub national level to support implementation.
- Vigorously documenting and applying directed leadership strategy
Legal, Administration & Partnerships are the essential functions of the consultant, which include assisting the Manager on the followings:
- Managing relationship with central government for operations
- Ensuring that Rare Indonesia comply with the MOU process, implementing agreement, and provide necessary support documents for Government of Indonesia (MoEF, MMAF, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other government institutions)
- Preparing the formal cooperation with provincial and district government on Program Implementation in the provincial level as the derivative from MoU with MoEF
- Collecting materials and references for Rare's advice on policy support to the Government of Indonesia for the implementation of sustainable small-scale fisheries in Indonesia;
- Arranging and assist in managing schedules of Leadership team
Required Experience and Education
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in administration, policy supports, partnership management and engagement with Indonesian government on legal/policy issue
- Knowledge of key players in the national, regional and international conservation/community development community is an advantage.
- Strong project management skills and relationships management skills
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred, preferably with an international focus in communications, environmental education, international development, environmental policy, or related field
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some light walking around the office may be necessary, such as lifting reams of paper, moving chairs, boxes and other office related equipment or tools.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The Consultant is expected to work in full office hours and work day periods; typical work days and hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, there may often be times when longer work hours are required.
