The Nature Conservancy Job Vacancy: Membership Accountant & Program Support Coordinator, Jakarta

We currently have several openings for: MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNTANT

Finance and accounting related support to Membership Team:
  • Serves as backup office support, for both Accounting and Membership team, by providing daily monitoring for all YKAN Bank account and its reconciliation report.
  • Record all YKAN deposit on daily basis into BBCRM batching process and/or upload in the Insight system, following YKAN and TNC SOP.
  • Coordinating with membership team, ensuring that reports from agency (such as SG) are verified and reconciled with bank statement and Insight system.
  • Ensuring that all bank reconciliation is prepared accurate and uploaded into CONNECT on timely manner.
  • Ensuring the incoming fund that reported by Membership team on monthly basis is reconcile with the actual cash received in YKAN Bank Account
  • Working closely with membership administrator, and Jakarta Accountant to ensure that all membership disbursements are recorded into Insight System with the correct Project ID and the supporting documents kept properly.
  • Monitoring the actual expenses of Membership activity, provide the necessary analysis reports for management as required.
  • Conduct specific assignment related to finance accounting and membership team.
The Membership Accountant’s based is in Jakarta – Indonesia and report to Accounting & Operations Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices and regulations.
  • Experience using automated accounting systems.
  • Experience with spreadsheet program, general ledger report and financial management tools.
  • Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
PROGRAM SUPPORT COORDINATOR
The Program Support Coordinator provide operations support for Bali Office and program implementation of Indonesia Fisheries Conservation Program. The Program Support Coordinator provides a full range of administrative and operations support for Bali Office, including the support for program implementations of Indonesia Fisheries Conservation Program (IFCP).

The Program Support Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of operations of the Bali Office, including the use of meeting room(s), the availability of the related meeting facilities and equipment; monitor the use of office/rent vehicles; logistic and procurements including purchasing requests of office supplies, office equipment and maintenance, telephone and general office duties. The activities include frequent interaction with all members within the organization as well as partners, guests, vendors, and business relations.

The Program Support Coordinator also supervises direct operations/admin/household staff from the outsourcing company and provides overall direction and coordination for all activities related to operations, finance, administration, personnel, facilities, information systems, office management, and safety. S/he is responsible for maintaining central filing, library, and other program support tools (image, database, etc.) and is the initial point-of-contact all question on file management, correspondence preparation, and control.

The Program Support Coordinator may require to develop operational guidelines to ensure the efficient management of the program and compliance with regulations; provide logistic and equipment related to program implementation, reservation for ticket and hotel accommodation, arrangement for FCPA documents, perform inventory of equipment used in the program, and monitor payment to fishers as main partner of the fisheries program.

The Program Support Coordinator provide assistance with planning and executing of special events like workshop, trainings, and VIP trips including identifying/contacting participants and helping budgeting.

In coordination with TNC Jakarta and Bali Office, s/he provides assistance to all levels of personnel on various Human Resources-related issues and guidance to subordinates in satisfying administrative requirements. Duties are highly confidential and require broad and comprehensive knowledge of TNC’s policies and therefore it is essential that their implementation reflects and reinforces management philosophy and culture.

The Program Support Coordinator also allocate her/his time no more than 20% to support the operation and program implementation of Indonesia Oceans Program office in Kupang or Sorong office as requested by the related team as approved by supervisor.

The Program Support Coordinator is based in Bali and reports to the Sustainable Fisheries Program Director and dotted line to Manager of Finance & Operation in Jakarta.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination; Finance / Accounting experience;
  • Experience coordinating projects;
  • Experience generating financial reports and analyzing and interpreting data;
  • Experience developing and administering departmental budget or equivalent;
    Experience managing multiple central administrative processes;
  • Experience working across departments; and
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel & Outlook
