The Zoological Society of London is an international wildlife
conservation organization with a focus on science-based and pragmatic solutions.
ZSL has been active in Indonesia for about 10 years, with a particular focus on
the overlap between industrial development and biodiversity conservation. ZSL
Indonesia is based in Bogor, West Java, with existing field projects in Jambi
and South Sumatera. We are now looking for:
ZSL Indonesia is a highly diverse programme with projects involving climate
change, public-private-people partnerships, sustainable landscape management, in
addition to species conservation (namely the Sumatran tiger), protected area
management, and combatting wildlife crime.
The UKCCU/NICFI Project works with the Government of South Sumatra, national and
district level governments, communities and the private sector to facilitate and
support the government, private sector and local communities, to establish and
pilot the sustainable landscape management partnership approach in the
Sembilang-Dangku landscape of South Sumatra. The proposed impact of this project
is to achieve “Inclusive economic growth and community prosperity,
biodiversity conservation, forest protection and restoration, and the ending of
deforestation, peatland drainage and wildfires that contribute to land-based
Greenhouse Gas emissions”.

Key Purpose of the Job
KELOLA Sendang is a form of partnership between public sector, private sector,
and community to promote sustainable landscape management. This project is
intended to synergize and integrate parties to encourage a balance between
production and conservation interests.
KELOLA Sendang project aims to support Green Development vision in South
Sumatera: (i) to support the provision of integrated data and landscape
information management; (ii) to strengthen the governance and policy; (iii)
capacity building and development of pilot model and practices at local level;
(iv) to support partnership development and resource mobilization.
Sustainable Landscape Management is determined by policies and governance that
can accommodate the interest of the parties. Therefore, a good and intensive
relationship for all parties is needed, especially KLHK. Landscape Project of
Sembilang-Dangku need to be supported with a collaborative process to compile
and to produce a variety of knowledge products that can be written from
experience of project intervention at the site level. These knowledge products
will provide a learning medium in sustainable landscape management for
stakeholders in landscape projects.
To achieve those targets, KELOLA Sendang need consultant who has experience in
building relationship and communication with parties and develop writing concept
to explain the KELOLA Sendang project’s approach.
Scope of Work:
- To develop a writing framework based on supervision of Deputy Project Director of Kelola Sendang
- To coordinate and communicate regularly with KLHK and other stakeholders to
report on project’s progress
- To support and organize meetings between stakeholders and Project
Director/Deputy Project Director and document all processes of the meetings.
- Other tasks as requested by the project
Deliverables:
Draft Writing Outline, Draft Writing Document, Final Writing Document, Minutes
of Meeting, Presentation Materials/Slides, draft letter/report/MOU, BTOR,
Monthly Timesheet
Recruitment Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree of any major
- Min. 3 years’ experience working in international donor agencies
- Strong working relationship with stakeholders and the government
Institutions.
- Have a good working knowledge of English
- Have previous experience in report writing
