Temporary Finance and Operations Officer

The Fred Hollows Foundation is one of Australia’s most respected and trusted international development organizations whose vision is to end avoidable blindness and ensure the work of Fred Hollows lives on.  The Foundation works in 26 countries across Africa, Asia, The Pacific and the Middle East as well as in Australia.

Currently, we are seeking a Finance and Operations Officer who will be on temporary assignment for three (3) months to be located in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Finance & Operations Officer will have these responsibilities:
  • Prepare documents of payments, advance and advance settlements; ensure all are aligned with the approved budget and in compliance with donor and FHF regulations. 
  • Prepare the SUN to upload templates ensuring accuracy in codes, approvals, timely entry of the data and filing of documentation.
  • Provide pro-active support to partners in financial reporting, closely monitoring FHF/donor compliance and ensure partner advance settlements are accurate and updated.
  • Support the procurement functions ensure approvals obtained before commitments are finalized.
  • Assist in the preparation of the month end reports.
Essential criteria include: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant tertiary studies. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, ideally in an NGO environment with exposure to the financial management of programs and projects.
  • Knowledge of modern accounting methods, including electronic bookkeeping.
  • Good Accounting and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Good written and verbal English ability
