Save the Children Job Vacancy: Head of Evidence & Impact, Jakarta

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership.
We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
Head of Evidence & Impact
1 (One) position based in Jakarta
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Head of Evidence & Impact will lead the overall monitoring, evaluation, accountability & learning (MEAL) framework for the entire country program. The role will have a focus on higher level analysis of our collective achievements towards our country strategic plan. The role will provide technical expertise to improve evidence generation and learning that will demonstrate the wider impact of YSTC work on children’s lives in Indonesia. The role will serve as a mentor position to other senior MEAL colleagues across the country in both humanitarian and development intervention areas.
The Head of Impact & Evidence will inform and influence senior management and fellow thematic technical advisors to facilitate evidence-based decision-making based on an efficient and reliable data management system. The role will also help strengthen country office’s research and evaluation capability, providing capacity building to area teams to advance their analytical and adaptive programming techniques with sound principles of quality child rights programming. This position will institutionalize evidence generation and learning practices so that YSTC can become a thought leader in selected thematic areas in both humanitarian and development settings.
We are looking for a highly analytical person who can articulate complex issues with intelligibility to a wide number of stakeholders, including senior management, donors and other Save the Children member offices around the world.
