Save the Children Job Vacancy: Senior F2F East Area Officer, Surabaya

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As ‘Prospect Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong local governance structure and building key partnerships with local government, the private sector, local civil society among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
Senior F2F East Area Officer
1 (one) position based in Surabaya
ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the F2F National In-House Coordinator and working across the organisation.
Senior F2F East Area Officer, in his/her capacity is responsible to deliver a highly ambitious market entry strategy focusing on building unrestricted income from the individuals
Key elements othe strategy will include:
  • Promote Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik campaign goals and objectives
  • Maintain a diverse and secure funding base from regular monthly donors
  • Recruit committed donors using face to face technique
  • Expansion of face to face program across the area
  • Developing innovative ways of working
  • Ensuring all resources is used as efficiently as possible and income opportunities are maximized.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience at least 2 years in leading, managing and training Face to Face Fundraisers team, including with some experience of managing staff from distance successfully
  • Ability to use numbers to support all fundraising decisions and to accurately analyse data
  • Ability to easily build rapport with a diverse range of people
  • Creatives and ability to develop new ways to inspire people about an organisation’s work
  • Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to others
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ambitious, results orientated and able to work in a target driven environment
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
  • A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment
  • Understanding of Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives,values and essential standards
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Indonesian
  • Excellent in working using emails, all microsoft office program
  • Will be required to travel extensively
