STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive) 
Within delegated authority, the Programme Associate will be responsible for the following duties:
  1. Provide technical support and assist in the implementation of WFP Country Strategic Plan activities in alignment with the Project Document of school meals programme
  2. Provide project management and technical assistance support to government-led school meals programme (Progas/Program Gizi Anak Sekolah) to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following Progas guidelines and modules.
  3. Within the specific assigned area of responsibility, prepare a range of reports and data analysis (including food and nutritional needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) and highlight trends/issues ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control
  4. Coordinate and communicate the key advocacy messages to national and sub-national government counterparts to promote and ensure sustainability of school meals programme under his/her assigned areas of responsibility.
  5. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work (e.g. optimizing the use of monitoring on-line instruments, analysing the data collection through monitoring-online) and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
  6. Liaise with government counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
  7. Support the capacity building of cooperating partners (NGO and/or private sectors) and national and sub-national government within the specific school meals areas of expertise, including healthy food, nutrition education and character building components.  
  8. Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical and assigned area of responsibility.
  9. Report periodically to Programme Policy Officer/Activity Manager on the advocacy, technical assistance and capacity development as well as mentoring/coaching progress.
  10. Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
  11. Perform other related duties as required.
