The UKCCU, based in the British Embassy Jakarta, delivers UK Government priorities in tackling climate change issues in Indonesia. The unit is focussed on delivering programmes on Forestry and Low Carbon Development, and on policy work supporting the Government of Indonesia’s climate change policies. In implementing its projects, the unit works closely with a number of ministries in the Government of Indonesia, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Villages at the national level. At the provincial level, the unit is working with the local governments of South Sumatra, Papua and West Papua.
