The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the
vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss-based
international organization with established with the purpose of
advancing nutrition outcomes by improving the consumption of nutritious
and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to
malnutrition. GAIN Indonesia has been operational in the country since
2012 and has received funding to continue and upscale its country
programs at least until 2020.
The Program Manager – Adolescent Nutrition will report to the Technical Director for day-to-day activities with a dotted line to the Country Director, Indonesia. S/he will coordinate implementation of GAIN’s Adolescent Nutrition project, including management and coordination of GAIN consultants and executing agencies (EAs) assisting with implementation. S/he will work closely with the Global Program leads for Adolescent Nutrition and MIYCN, the Technical Lead for adolescent work stream, the Indonesia Technical Director and other GAIN technical staff and partners on the design, planning, implementation and on-going monitoring of all project activities.
S/he will be responsible for ensuring that the overall project milestones and goals are met and that activities are well coordinated with GAIN partners including government, civil society and academia and generally contribute to increasing GAIN’s profile and reputation in Indonesia and beyond. S/he will be expected to provide both technical and administrative support as required.
The ideal candidate will possess project management skills, including experience in utilization of project management tools. S/he will have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and advocacy skills and be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure with frequent deadlines. S/he will be reliable and enjoys working in a multi-cultural, cross functional team with flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Experience in a multi-cultural environment in international organizations, the private sector, government or public-private partnerships with a track record of increasing responsibilities is required. The ideal candidate will have experience working with research and creative agencies to develop BCC campaigns and experience writing or editing with a variety of print and online media is required. Understanding of technology/social media monitoring, optimizing and measuring including working knowledge of web analytics methods and software is highly desirable.
