Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik partner of Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.

PROJECT MANAGER – Program for Refugee

ROLE PURPOSE:
Yayasan Tunas Cilik – Partner of Save the Children will implement program for refugee to improve the resiliency of refugee children in 2 shelters in South Jakarta and other refugee children in Jakarta through the establishment and strengthening of child protection mechanisms within the care arrangement and in the surrounding community.
Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (YSTC) has developed a comprehensive child protection strategy that identifies existing gaps in a systematic manner and is referred to the UNHCR Child Protection Framework. The strategy includes: child-friendly procedures; communication with children; child protection assessments; best interest determination (BID); protection monitoring; interim protection measures through assistance, resilience-building; community-based protection mechanisms; access to education; alternative care; partnerships for child protection; child participation; comprehensive solutions, and capacity building. Together with other partners, YSTC will explore ways to effectively advocate for the full adherence of national and local authorities to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, of which Indonesia is a party, including children’s access to health, education, shelter and basic services.
The Project Manager will lead all activities under the program for refugee and coordinate closely with UNHCR and other partners: CWS and CRS. This position will be based out in a joint office and training center, in South Jakarta; together with CWS and CRS. Programme implementation duties include ensuring all program activities are implemented according to plan and at a high-level of quality; all reporting and planning is completed in a timely manner and at a high-quality; all communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner; coordinate well with key external stakeholders; all child safeguarding controls are enforced; and financial and administrative management adheres to YSTC and donors policies, regulations, and good practices. The Project Manager will also lead on technical sector planning in the field office and ensure in advocating with key government stakeholders to achieve positive changes using evidence from our program work as the basis. S/he will represent YSTC in South Jakarta and/or Greater Jakarta area; and support program development and emergency preparedness and response. The position will require travel to field locations and support for hosting donor visits.
