The Indonesia Australia Partnership on Food Security in the Red Meat and Cattle Sector - Advisory and Support Group (ASG) is seeking applications for the role of Program Manager
Details of the opportunity are as follows
The Indonesia Australia Partnership on Food Security in the Red Meat and Cattle Sector (the Partnership) is a jointly agreed head of government initiative, over 10 years to 2023, underpinned by a A$60 million fund provided by the Australian Government. The Partnership reports to the Australian Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, and the Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, as the leading Ministers for the Partnership.
It represents a unique forum that brings together key decision makers from government and industry to benefit both countries through strengthening people-to-people, government-to-government and industry-to-industry relationships. It has a commercial focus and aims to raise awareness, attract investment and/or co-funding to maximise the opportunities for development and collaboration amongst the Indonesian and Australian red meat and cattle sector.
The Advisory and Support Group (ASG) is managed by Coffey on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to assist the Partnership to achieve its desired outcomes through the provision of:
The Position
The Program Manager will work under the direction of the Team Leader to ensure effective management of activities under the Partnership. This will include day to day project management; liaison with project implementation team and Partnership stakeholders; as well as engagement and contracting of technical support personnel and activity service providers.
The Person
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated experience in project management in an international development context, preferably in the agriculture sector. You should also have an experience in managing capacity building activities in Indonesia and high-level stakeholder relationship management. Aside from having high level proficiency in spoken, written English and Indonesian, you will also need to have a good knowledge of Indonesian public and private sectors and experience working with government agencies.
