AIP-Rural is a program with 4 projects: PRISMA (agricultural development), TIRTA (irrigation), SAFIRA (value chain finance) and ARISA (applied agriculture research), and Palladium manage PRISMA, TIRTA and SAFIRA. It follows a Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach and will contribute to a 30%, or more, increase in net incomes for 300,000 smallholder farming households by December 2018. The project works in five (5) provinces in Eastern Indonesia: East Java, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur, West Papua and Papua.
Role
AIP-Rural is seeking internal applicants to cover the role of Project Manager for a fixed term contract through to December 2018. The role will be based in Surabaya, Indonesia with mobilisation likely to be required in early January 2018 to allow for handover with the incumbent. The initial contract period will end in December 2018, and our tender for the second phase of the project will be completed during this time so there is potential for an extension beyond this date if we are successful.
The role is classified as Discipline Group C, Level 2 under the DFAT Aid Advisor Remuneration Framework available here Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Act as the principal contact between DFAT, the program, and Palladium corporate support services;
- Ensure project procedures tools and templates are in line with both DFAT and Palladium requirements and that there is consistency in approach between the three programs;
- Monitor and maintain compliance with DFAT head contracts;
- Carry out a variety of financial management activities;
- Ensure quality of necessary program-related reports for internal and external distribution;
- Support the program team in developing a HR and recruitment plan appropriate to the stage of the project;
- Facilitate and ensure high quality project closeout, planning and managing inputs from all required support teams and consultants;
- Ensure the program team monitor and report on a monthly basis the status of partner budgets/invoicing and grants.
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience as a Project or Program Manager;
- Prior experience in the management of people;
- Experience managing a donor funded program is essential, with DFAT experience preferred;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with Bahasa Indonesia preferred;
