OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to help with the Sustainability Screening Tool (SST) development, which will include engaging with stakeholders to support of tools development, technical GIS knowledge and ability to train local stakeholders in GIS and stakeholder mapping techniques and support users capacity building by providing relevance training.
TASKS
- Helping communication and coordination between SST Expert in Jakarta and Stakeholders.
- Facilitate activities such workshop and training for Sustainability Tools (SST) development and implementation and assists ST Expert during activities.
- Provide technical support (GIS, GPS & High resolution satellite imagery mapping) and capacity building to stakeholders where the SST are developed.
- Perform other tasks and assignments as and when required by supervisor for GIS data collecting to Stakeholders, processing and analysis.
DELIVERABLES
- Uploaded of final thematic maps from Province and District Agency where the tools developed and ArcGIS online uploaded.
- Be-weekly work plan for Stakeholders engagement.
- Activities report of engagement to Stakeholders in Province and District by-weekly.
- Occasionally reports as request by Supervisor for capacity building and training activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: University degree in natural resource management, forestry, or geography with graduate degree preferred.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience working on forest, natural resources, or development spatial planning;
- Demonstrated capacity in using of GIS and remote sensing software operation and spatial analysis.
- Ability to oversee and remain engaged in activities occurring in multiple field sites across the Katingan-Kahayan landscape;
- Native fluency in spoken and written Indonesian;
- Professional competency in spoken and written English;
- Strong coordination and team playing skills;
- Willingness to travel extensively in Central Kalimantan and the Katingan-Kahayan Landscape.
