KfW Entwicklungsbank Job Vacancy: Forest Protection & Biodiversity Conservation - Jakarta

KfW is seeking to fill a position as a Project Coordinator / Sector Expert for forest protection / sustainable forest management / biodiversity conservation in its representative office in Jakarta.

Responsibilities
Your primary task will be to monitor, facilitate and follow-up on the identification, preparation and implementation of activities financed by KfW in the area of forest protection and biodiversity conservation. You shall closely collaborate with KfW´s project partners, such as Government of Indonesia (GoI) and local and international Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in order to facilitate an effective and efficient implementation of projects by KfW´s partner institutions.

Requirements and Skills are, inter alia:
  • Post graduate degree in forestry, natural resource management or
    equivalent;

  • At least 5-7 years of progressively responsible working experience with
    GoI, large international NGOs and/or bi-/multilateral agencies;

  • Proven project experience on forest protection, sustainable forest management,
    land use planning, watershed management and/or biodiversity conservation;

  • Profound knowledge of Indonesian policies and practices on forest
    protection and biodiversity conservation;

  • Proven negotiation skills and experience in dealing with senior level
    government officials;

  • Fluency in English (speaking/writing) and Indonesian language;
  • Proven ability to establish and manage successful relationships and to establish a business network;
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal-skills and willingness to work in an international
    environment;

  • Self-motivated and self organised.
