For our Sustainable Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) in Indonesia, we are looking for two:
Field Coordinator

SCPP is a large Public Private Partnership Development Program in Indonesia which has started in January 2012. The Program is financed by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, the Sustainable Trade Initiative IDH, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, International Fund for Agricultural Developmen (IFAD), the Millenium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCA-I), and leading Private Companies from the cocoa sector including ADM Cocoa, BT Cocoa, Barry Callebaut, Cargill, Ecom, Mars, Mondeléz, and Nestlé. The Program works between 2012 - 2018 directly with 90,000 cocoa farming households in 29 within 6 Indonesian Provinces to improve farm productivity, environmental, and livelihood conditions.

Overall Task
Field Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of all SCPP activities and programs in the district. Working under the guidance and supervision of the Program Manager, He/She will also work closely with the District Government and other stakeholders in the district. The main roles will be to mobilize farmers, organize training, develop and enhance farmers organizations capacity, and also prepares activity, administration and financial reports.

Task, Authority, and Responsibility
  • Project set up, initiating and implementing Field Farmer School in the districts; 
  • Developing Cocoa Farmer Group and/or Smallholder Cocoa Enterprise, also District Cocoa Learning Center (CLC);
  • Developing and implementing of Internal Control Systems (ICS) for the CLC and for all Small Cocoa Enterprises (SCEs) in the District;
  • To support CLC Management and related District government agencies/departments;
  • To support farmer groups and SCEs with ICS implementation and certification procedures.
Communication, Supervision, and Reporting
  • Produce activity reports for submission to the Program Officer on a weekly/monthly basis;
  • Working in close cooperation and coordination with District government agencies/departments and private sector partners.

Skills/knowledge
  • Strong sense of responsibility and control;
  • Strong organizational, planning and management skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality outputs on time;
  • Good interpersonal skills and commitment to working in a team;
  • Skills in computer, software systems (windows, spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail, internet.);
  • Presentation skills.
Requirements
  • University/Bachelor/Diploma degree majoring in Agriculture;
  • Minimum of three years experience in the relevant field;
  • Experience in management level is an advantage;
  • Experience in planning an activity and managing its budget;
  • Experience in risk mapping & Capacity Assessment on local level;
  • Previous working with NGO is an advantage;
