Provincial Program Officers, Community Legal Empowerment
Location: Kupang and Makassar
The Australia – Indonesia Partnership for
Justice (AIPJ) is a five year program funded by Australian Goverment with a
current closing date of December 2015. The strategic focus of AIPJ is on
realizing the rights of all Indonesians, in particular poor women, vulnerable
children and people with disabilities.
AIPJ is
expanding its focus on grass-roots justice by implementing a new community
legal empowerment program. The community legal empowerment program will work in
partnership with AIPJ’s existing legal aid program with the aim of
strengthening linkages between communities and legal aid organizations in order
to improve the quality and quantity of justice services delivered at the local
level. A particular focus of the program will be on encouraging the training of
paralegals.
In order to provide both grant management and technical support to CSO
partners, AIPJ is seeking Indonesian nationals for the position of Provincial
Program Officer – Community Legal Empowerment. These are full-time positions based
in Kupang and Makassar (one in each location) with significant provincial and
some national travel required. Duties will include a mix of grant management
and technical support, and candidates with skills and experience in one or both
areas are encouraged to apply.
