Chemonics Seeks Wildlife Trafficking Experts - Indonesia and Philippines

Chemonics seeks wildlife trafficking experts for the anticipated USAID-funded Philippines Protect Wildlife and Indonesia SOROT​​ projects. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. 

Responsibilities include:​
  • ​​ Improve the management of conservation areas and the protection of marine and terrestrial species through advancing reforms in the legal and policy arena
  • Actively engage both the private and public sector in biodiversity conservation and conservation financing
  • Strengthen institutional capacity of host governments at the national and subnational levels to integrate conservation activities in local development plans
  • Spearhead behavior change campaigns to improve attitudes about biodiversity and wildlife
  • Develop national and regional partnerships and improve coordination between regional institutions' wildlife trafficking activities, including law enforcement activities
  • Provide additional technical assistance and training as necessary
Qualifications: 
  • ​Advanced degree in a relevant field 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant technical areas 
  • Professional experience in Southeast Asia preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Exceptional written and oral language skills 
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity ​
  • Fluency in English
