Background
SNV is an international not-for-profit development organization that works
in 38 of the poorest countries around the world covering water and
sanitation, agriculture and energy. In agriculture, SNV works with
smallholder farmers, pastoralists, forest-dependent communities and
companies to provide innovative, market-based solutions to the issues of
sustainable markets, food security and climate change. SNV is registered in
Indonesia under the Ministry of Home Affairs since October 2013.

To contribute to the development of a vibrant dairy sector in Indonesia,
which is centralized in Java island, SNV Indonesia will have partnership
with private partners to implement some technologies to improve practice in
the core aspect in dairy to increase milk production, milk quality and
safety and green milk for eco friendly practices.
The baseline survey resulted that the average milk production is low about
10 liter per day, more than 50% respondents are not implement the hygiene
practice before milking, major stable construction haven't follow the
standard. In order to improve the implementation of good dairy farming
practices, SNV need to get services from dairy experts from good local
universities in Central Java. SNV invites the local universities to apply as
the consultant team, The consultant team for good dairy farming practices
will deliver services on:
Tasks
The consulting team maybe up of individual or team of consultants to do 36
days work covering the following tasks:
Selection Criteria
* Department or program study on animal production from local
universities
* Consultant team proposed consist of Expert/s in animal husbandry
mainly for feeding (concentrate & forage) for different stages including
calf, gestating cow, lactating, and dry, reproduction, stable management,
hygiene milking process.
* Experience in developing training module
* Some communication skills in English
* Willing to travel if needed to deliver training in Wonosobo,
Boyolali and Malang
* Writing report in English
