Judicial Suport Sector Progam (JSSP) is a two-year program conducted by
the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) and the Indonesian
Institute for Judicial Independence (Lembaga
Kajian dan Advokasi untuk Independensi Peradilan/LeIP) funded by Embassy of
the Royal of the Netherlands (RNE) in Jakarta. The overal objective of the
porgram is to contribute to the enhancement of the Rule of Law by strengthening the
skills and competencies of the judiciary and public prosecution of the Republic
of Indonesia. The program is
based on the priorities of the Multi-Annual Strategic Plan of Cooperation of
the Netherlands in Indonesia 2014 – 2017. The Judicial Sector Support Program
consists of 3 (inter-related) components: Judicial and Prosecutorial Training
component, Mahkamah Agung (Chamber
System) and Court Budgeting.
Duties
Under supervision of the Program
Manager, the translator will be translating documents (Word,
PPT) from English to Indonesian and/or from Indonesian to English.
- At least have S1 in relevant field (law, international development, etc.);
- Demonstrated experience in translating design or report documents (English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English) for non-profit organizations/donor agencies.
- Knowledgeable of legal and judiciary terms and a good understanding of the judiciary and legal reforms in Indonesia.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken.
Timing and compensation
The position is expected to start as
soon as possible and finish by September 2016. The amount of pages of documents
to be translated will be clarified during the contracting process. Compensation
will be negotiated in line with local market rates. The position can be done
remotely, working with a team based in Jakarta.
