WWF Job Vacancy: Fisheries Coordinator for Koon Island - Maluku

We are the largest nature conservation NGO in Indonesia, which has started its activity since 1962. Currently, we have 28 offices, from Aceh to Papua and has a total of more than 400 staff. Since 2006, our organization supported by more than 54,000 supporters from all over the archipelago.

We are currently seeking a highly qualified, experienced candidate, who has reputable qualifications for: Fisheries Coordinator for Koon Island (FCK), based in Maluku, which Responsible to Develop a policy-based research, providing models, development, and implementation of conservation expertise related to the management of coral and fisheries resources sustainability in the area of East Seram that is in accordance with the customary approach, in cooperation with Petuanan Kataloka and Local Government of East Seram District in order to provide contribution towards the realization of the objectives of the project/program in ensuring the conservation of nature to correspond with the conservation strategy of WWF-Indonesia.

Requirements for this position :
  • Bachelor degree from Marine and/or Fisheries Science, Biology, or Environmental Study; Master Degree are preferable.
  • 4 years experiences working in fisheries sustainability issues in marine protected area in Indonesia, with a min. of 2 years working with community and NGOs.
  • Good Analytical skills (monitoring data, fisheries management), Management skills and also fisheries knowledge.
