The
Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a conservation organization working around
the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature
and people.
Currently we are searching for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
1. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY
The Associate Director of Philanthropy is responsible for managing a portfolio of qualified donors and building
strong relationships.
Her/his
responsibility includes increasing funding from high net-worth
individuals through effective identification, cultivation, solicitation
and stewardship.
S/he understands and applies complex
principles of developing donor strategies and builds strong
relationships with a portfolio of new donors and prospects. The
Associate Director of Philanthropy provides opportunities for donors
to receive recognition and increase future giving. S/he involves and
engages appropriate partners in the field and at the Worldwide Office,
keeping them apprised of interactions, issues and/or concerns, and
addresses questions as needed. S/he is capable of
featuring the programs of TNC in detailed terms and can confidently
discuss legacy giving opportunities. The Associate Director of
Philanthropy understands project budgets and may build proposal budgets
utilizing this knowledge. S/he will develop a referral
network as needed and may manage formal and/or informal networks of
volunteers. S/he will be required to use TNC’s donor database and may
develop proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or an equivalent combination.
- Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents.
- Experience in asking for and closing gifts, managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably in a large non-profit.
- Experience working with fundraising principles and practices.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in current trends in charitable giving in the areas of capital campaigns, major gifts or planned giving.
- Ability to design and manage fundraising plans, including individualized cultivation, solicitation and recognition plans.
- Ability to determine an individual’s interests, capacity and potential for helping TNC meet its goals, and act appropriately to tie those interests with TNC’s work.
- Demonstrated experience using listening, diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate donors and volunteers.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex, high profile or sensitive agreements.
2. RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
The
Relationship Manager is responsible for the identification and
qualification of major and planned gift prospects
and assists in cultivating and soliciting donors through meetings,
trips, events, and other activities. S/he will move prospects capable of
gifts of higher amounts to the prospect pool for management by senior
fundraising staff. S/he will work on a variety
of activities including providing detailed program information to
prospects and drafting personalized correspondence and acknowledgments.
S/he uses TNC’s donor database to update donor information, produce
reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate
donors. The Relationship Manager understands the basics of the
influencing factors on donors and the types of assets that may be used
for the donor’s giving; applies knowledge to interactions with donors
and gift asks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience building relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Experience generating reports, and analyzing and interpreting the data.
- Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices.
- Ability to determine an individual’s interests, capacity and potential for helping TNC meet its goals, and act appropriately to tie those interests with TNC’s work.
- Ability to implement and coordinate fundraising plans, including individualized cultivation, solicitation, and recognition plans.
- Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff and donors.
- Strong negotiating and organizational skills.
3. CAUSE-RELATED MARKETING MANAGER
The
Cause-Related Marketing is responsible for the development, creation
and implementation of strategic marketing
and fundraising programs and communications initiatives designed to
advance TNC’s guiding marketing strategies to build brand reputation,
influence conservation action, and deliver on fundraising goals. S/he
creates, implements and measures success of a comprehensive
annual cause-related marketing plan. S/he develops corporate
partnerships that increase TNC Indonesia’s brand recognition and digital
and social media outreach.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience in one of the marketing disciplines in consumer goods, consumer banking sectors or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing client and account relationships.
- Experience managing multiple projects including measuring results of plans and programs.
- Experience negotiating agreements.
- Experience with current technology in the marketing field
- Experience with written and verbal communications in Indonesian and English
- Experience leading in a team-based environment with internal and/or external partners.
- Experience applying marketing principles on projects/programs.
- Practical knowledge of current and evolving trends related to field of experience.
