Habitat for Humanity Vacancy: HR Officer & Construction Staff - Jakarta

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit, Christian housing ministry. We seek to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make descent shelter a matter of conscience and action. In Indonesia, Habitat for Humanity Indonesia as the national foundation currently operates regular programs across 8 provinces.

Habitat for Humanity Indonesia is now seeking professionals to fill the following positions. Ideal candidates should be Indonesian, who are strong qualified personality with excellent leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is an important prerequisite.

HR Officer 
Jakarta Base  

To provide human resources services by developing, advising and implementing policies including working practices, employment relation and pay conditions required by the organization. The role will be around conducting orientation for new employees, preparing employment contracts, undertaking usual salary reviews, pay including employee benefits and other issues on remuneration. She/he will work closely with other departments, and assisting the line managers in understanding and implementing procedures and policies. 

Requirements: 
  • Degree in human resources management, law, accounting or psychology from an accredited institution.  
  • Preferable 2 year experience in general Human Resources that should include Payroll System  
  • Understanding of Indonesian labor law  
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills  
  • Analytical thinking and ability to understand comprehensive information.  
  • Basic numeracy and IT skills required for operating various systems.  
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and explain the official framework employment regulation.  
  • Integrity and friendly approachability.  
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills in implementing personnel policies.  
  • Strong spiritual foundation, servant hood and good human relations at all level 
Construction Staff 
Jakarta Base 

Reporting to Construction Coordinator, the Construction Staff will provide construction design, budget planning and basic construction training designed for community, monitor the quality of material, and make sure that construction implementation meet the standard. 

Requirements: 
  • University graduate from Civil or Architect Engineer  
  • Fresh graduates are welcome and preferable 2 year experience in building construction. Exposure and direct experience in NGO work is a plus.  
  • Ability to work as a team  
  • Good communication and reporting skill  
  • Knolwledge in Autocad program is an advantage  
  • Basic knowledge in Ms.Word, Excell, Power point  
  • Basic oral and written communication skills in English  
  • Strong spiritual foundation, servant hood and good human relations at all level
