Project Officer Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Strategy Program

ICLEI a powerful movement of city government in over than 84 Countries all over the globe, ICLEI provides support to cities to build their resilience, through low carbon strategies, climate change mitigation and adaptation programs and other sustainable development tools, programs and activities. The Program officer will work as part of ICLEI Indonesia Climate Team to support cities undertake climate change adaptation planning and resilience building process trough ACCCRN IPA process.

The program were one of ICLEI flagship program Asia City Climate Change Resilience Network – funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for this challenging position. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, and have comprehensive understanding of relevant national policies and networks. Name of Incumbent:	To be appointed
Employment Agreement	The candidate would be hire as individual consultant by ICLEI South East Asia Secretariat Tenure 12 months in first instance, to be reviewed at the end of this period
Location:	Based at ICLEI Indonesia Office. Rasuna Office Park I MO.03 Kompleks Rasuna Epicentrum Jalan Rasuna Said Jakarta
Supervisor	ACCCRN Program Coordinator
Role Brief:	Work as part of ICLEI Indonesia Climate Team to support cities undertake climate change adaptation planning and resilience building.  Assist to guide cities through the ACCCRN IAP Process
Key Duties:	Assist to conduct city workshops on adaptation and climate resilience  Provide technical support to city officials to follow-up workshops  Undertake research, documentation etc to support ICLEI Climate Team
Key Selection Criteria / Experience and Education:	1. Qualifications and experience Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (planning, environment, energy etc) will be preferred Preference if applicants have experience working in the field, but new graduates may also be considered 2. Technical Skills Demonstrated understanding of climate change adaptation and resilience, particularly as it affects the urban poor in Indonesia  Understanding of good governance, sustainable development and climate change principles as they apply to cities  Aptitude for running or facilitating workshops and for providing one-on-one technical support to city personnel  Competent in all relevant computer programs and applications. Ability to use software for analyzing quantitive and/or spatial data will be preffered  Ability to work as part of a team  Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
Salary and Benefits:	Starting Basic Salary: $ 600 Insurance allowance:  $ 200
