Technical Project Professional
(in website development, database maintenance, social media)

Working area 4 aims at the support of innovative learning materials and (curricula-) approaches to consider climate change (inclusive teacher-education and pilot schools), encourage school campaigns and to undertake initiatives outside schools, especially in cooperation with CSO, youth initiatives and media.

A. Responsibilities and Tasks
The incumbent is responsible for the Change Education and Awareness working area in:
  • Develop and monitor/review project data (eco-mapping) and information management including data protection, data consistency 
  • Provide input and assistance to project team on issues in regard to project monitoring (M&E, PoO), that affect data and project’s information accuracy, including development tools (excel, access, web tools etc.). 
  • Control and coordinate register of data access rights, including new registrations, amendments and deletions of data/information. 
  • Liaise and consult with project team, counterparts and others implementing partners when necessary 
  • Monitor and report on trends of data use and access, and to maintain confidentiality as necessary 
  • Produce information, data and statistics including the analysis of such, across a range of subjects as agreed. 
  • Regularly maintains and updates pilot project websites and also improve in developing website when necessary 
  • Prepare for potential development of an e-learning platform for modules, training materials across a variety of mobile devices
B. Qualifications and skills:
Education, experience and technical competencies:
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating this level of ability 
  • Have approx. five or more years of relevant work experience. Experience in interacting with government officials is an advantage. 
  • Proven skills in database programming using SQL language in MySQL and MS-Access 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel users and has experienced in VBA Excel macro programming 
  • Good level of Information Technology competency including experience/awareness of web-based application development using PHP framework, JavaScript, jQuery, XML /JSON 
  • Experience with mobile application development such as Android based system and familiar with GIS application such as ArcGIS and Quantum GIS is advantage.

  • Good organization skills and experience with project management 
  • Competent in personal organization, priority setting and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and efficiently under time pressure and manage multiple tasks

  • Shows initiative, capable of working independently and as an effective team player 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with people in multidisciplinary teams as well as work across divisions and institutions.
