For Translation Services Bahasa Indonesia to Bahasa English
Background:
AIP-PRISMA (Australia-Indonesia Partnership for
Promoting Rural Income through Support for Markets in Agriculture) is a
multi-year program that is part of the Indonesian Government’s long term
strategy to encourage economic growth. Supported by the Australian Government,
the program aims to achieve a 30% increase in the net incomes of 300,000 male
and female farmers in eastern Indonesian by 2017 by improving productivity,
market access, and innovation. PRISMA focuses on major agriculture sectors in
East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Papua and West Papua, We
promote partnerships and help spur growth among value chain actors by reducing
barriers and constraints within the agriculture sector.
Task/Work Description:
AIP-PRISMA intends to create a pool of Translators to translate
program documents from Bahasa Indonesia to Bahasa English. AIP-PRISMA intend to
issue contracts for freelance translators for a two year period. Work will be
desk-based and does not require travel.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience of translation services: (More than three years’ experience in translation, preferably experience with development projects).
- Mother tongue English with fluency in Bahasa.
- DFAT project experience is highly regarded.
- Experience in Making Markets Work for The Poor (M4P) is highly regarded.
- Sworn Translator certification is highly regarded
