The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is an international Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) dedicated to ensuring that the world’s most vurnerables – especially women
and children in developing countries – get
the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive. With headquarters
in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains regional offices in New Delhi, India and Dakar,
Senegal that manages our country offices in Asia and Africa.
MI has collaborated with the Ministry of Health
(MoH) in the Vitamin A Supplemention (VAS) program by supporting 12
low-performing districts in the 6 identified high mortality
provinces (North Sumatera, Riau, South Sumatera, Riau, South Sumatera,
Banten, West Java and West Nusa Tenggara) since 2010. MI scaled up its
technical
and financial support on VAS program in these
6 selected provinces.
MI requires consultancy services to document all aspects of VAS program in
Indonesia including highlights and lessons learnt from the
program so as to build recommendations
for improving program.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Master’s Degree with experiences at least 10 years, preferably in public health, nutrition, epidemiology, social sciences, social/international development or related disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A native English speaker is an asset.
- Technical knowledge and familiarity with VAS program is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in research, writing and production of documents.
- Has experience for exposure program in Indonesia.
- Previous experience working with MI is an asset.
