Role purpose:
As the IT Officer, the IT Officer will be the main driver of business process improvements primarily in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of IT-related equipment and services within Save the Children offices in field office by performing various monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on our IT systems and maintaining contacts with 3rd party technology solution providers. The post holder will engage closely with Country Office, in Jakarta, in proposing solutions, driving implementation, changing and leading continuous improvement for within IT areas. S/he will provide first line of support to Bandung field office.

Reports to: IT Coordinator, Jakarta with dotted line to Eastern NTT Manager
Dimension: Belu  field Office with occasional support to Malaka, Kupang, Sumba and others field offices in NTT

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

In the Asia region, contribute as a member of a 21st century Save the Children organization:
  • Strategic development and delivery of  SCI International Programmes objectives in line with Save the Children mandate, strategy and theory of change
  • Meeting the servicing requirements of Members and their donors through first class customer service and collaborative working
  • Improving outcomes for children by contributing to the delivery of: Save the Children’s strategy,  global initiatives and growth targets

Reporting, streamlining and analysis provision of the IT Infrastructure performance.
  • Provide 1st level support for IT infrastructure in the support ( including preventive maintenance,  server trouble shooting and communication lines ) and IT system support (including software installation, maintenance, IT administration) for Belu SCI staff members in order to ensure IT infrastructures and system support in Belu offices are working properly and effectively including storage management on servers and network attached storage devices, maintaining data backup, data grooming, user accounts management, IT security, etc.
  1. Prepare initial installation of user's desktop/notebook computers with standard configuration and software according to Save the Children's standard. Provide feedback to IT Cootdinator on end user training materials to ensure that they continue to meet  IT essential standard.
  • Provide effective support for all related users in SCI regarding IT related matters, in order to ensure the transfer of IT knowledge to all users (ie. provide IT related training)
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of all IT equipment with relevant technical information.
  • Gives technical review to procurement for provisions of minor peripheral devices and computer supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum D3 in IT or engineering or 3 years experience on managing IT Systems.
  • Experience in providing first-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Windows Server system with Active Directory environment
  • Experience working with basic networking products (Router, Firewall, )
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets
  • Fluency in writing and speaking in English.
  • Exposure to the non-profit sector and/or developing countries is preferred
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy-in
