FHI 360 Vacancy: Program Coordinator, Jakarta

We currently seek qualified candidate for the position of Program Coordinator in the Indonesia Country Office based in Jakarta.

Basic Functions:  S/he will be responsible for the coordination of program related tasks generated out of the Country Director‘s (CD’s) Office. Coordinate program activities and provide assistance for effective implementation of the program activities across all program sectors and field offices. Will be responsible to assist the Country Director’s office with the submission of various deliverables and reports to USAID, MOH and FHI 360. Will provide assistance with the development and processing of agreements as required by the program.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  1. Assist with the facilitation of the implementation of the SUM I project and ensure on-going program management, monitoring, and reporting on the country program. 
  2. Respond to a variety of programmatic, financial, data, administrative and logistics needs and requirements generated from the CD office, senior management, funder/SUM I and MOH.
  3. Coordinate the provision of technical and management support to SUM I project.
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Assist the CD office to:
  • produce and submit responses to requests from funder, MOH and FHI 360 as needed,
  • coordinate SUM I work plan activities, budget and communications with the field offices,
  • coordinate with the Finance and Contracts Units  to monitor program activity budgets and to ensure timely program implementation,
  • Communicate program information, guidance and updates to relevant staff and teams.
  • Coordinate the flow of information and feedback about SUM I activities between country and provincial offices to ensure effective implementation of work plans and translation of objectives and strategies to the provincial level.
  • Prepare RFAs for services to be procured via sub-awards with local firms to support SUM I program condom promotion and social marketing (CSM) efforts.
  • Assist to develop sub-award drafts for local firms in compliance with FHI 360 and donor policies and submit to FHI 360 Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) for review and approval , and to the  Country Director for submission to USAID SUM I COR for approval.
  • Take relevant actions to activate newly approved sub-awards in the FHI 360 Global Awards Tracking System.
  • In coordination with the Team/Unit Leaders and Program/Technical Officers, prepare scope of work (SOW) for short-term consultants needed to support the SUM I program. Work with the Country Director, CSM Advisor and senior staff to identify consultants as appropriate and develop Consultancy Agreements for the identified individuals.
  • Coordinate, collect and manage information needed to produce reports and deliverables to the funder/SUM I and partners and assist managers to finalize the reports as assigned.
  • Compile, draft and finalize monthly, quarterly, annual reports and deliverables for submission to USAID/SUM I, MOH, GOI and FHI 360/HQ.
Minimum Requirements:  BS/BA in health, social sciences or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience with international development programs and field experience; or, MS/MA/MPH  in public health, social science or related field, and 3 - 5 years relevant experience with international development programs and field experience.  Must have excellent communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English, and computer skills. Able to work independently and as a team member.  Previous experience in managing programs is a must, and working with I/NGOs would be an asset.
