Community Mobilization Officer
1 position, based in Sumba

This post holder will
responsible for coordinating all Community Mobilization work following
guideline in Sponsorship CASP Module. This post holder will build and
maintain relationships with all core groups and key community members
and help facilitating
regular engagement of those groups to support community action at
community level.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Develop training modules and coordinating training for community core groups and community member to support program and sponsorship operation.
- Develop Community Partnership at Community Level
- Facilitate establishment of core groups in each community to support the implementation of community action cycle.
- Facilitate core group and community member to develop their own community action cycle and support for the implementation.
- Monitor and Support community core group and community member to independently implement their planning, monitor their
- Help to resolve constraints faced by the community to create an enabling environment to effectively implement the Community Mobilization component of the program.
- Arrange regular meetings addressing ground level realities identified through community action cycle.
- Facilitate integration of community planning into village annual planning and advocate with community integration of their planning through government planning cycle.
- Responsible for strengthening capacity of core groups in the area of Management, leadership, Monitoring, Evaluation and other relevant issue affecting their performance in executing their planning
- Liaise with different NGO and other government empowerment program in the community for harmonization.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- At least 4 years work experience with non-government organizations in Eastern Indonesia
- At least 3 years intensively working with community.
- Understanding of community development issue
- Understanding of community structure
- Proven skill in engaging community/mobilizing community
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work in rural and remote areas
- Proven facilitation skill
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to ride motorcycle and with appropriate license
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team
- Willingness to stay in remote location and travel at times in difficult condition
- A commitment to high quality of work and efficiency
